Kawula17 (kawula17.id) is a youth-driven climate action platform under Pelopor Pilihan17 (PP17). Kawula17 mobilizes young Indonesians to engage with sustainability issues, turning awareness into real action through events, content, and community programs. Festival Rumah Kaca is their flagship climate festival — a free, open space for young people to voice concerns about the climate crisis, showcase creative work, and connect with like-minded communities ready to act.
The Challenge
Kawula17 needed a dedicated digital touchpoint for Festival Rumah Kaca that could serve two critical functions simultaneously: - Capture survey data from attendees — understanding their climate concerns, interests, and engagement readiness before the event - Function as a registration ticket — allowing free sign-ups that double as entry passes to the festival The challenge was combining data collection and event registration into one seamless experience, without making it feel like a burden. The audience is Gen Z — they bounce fast if the flow feels heavy.
What We Built
Event Landing Page
Bold, youth-oriented visual design aligned with the climate activism tone. Clear event information: date, venue (Live House Mbloc, Jakarta), and free admission. Rundown, booth map, and activity highlights accessible directly from the landing page. Strong CTA driving visitors to register immediately.
Survey-as-Registration Flow
Integrated survey that collects attendee data (climate concerns, interests, background) as part of the registration process. Completing the survey equals registering for the event and receiving a ticket. Zero friction — users do not feel like they are filling out a separate survey; it is all one natural flow. Data captured feeds directly into Kawula17's insights on youth climate sentiment.
Digital Ticketing
Upon completing the survey-registration, attendees receive a digital ticket and confirmation. Free event — no payment gateway needed, purely registration-based. Ticket serves as proof of registration for entry management on event day.
Content Sections
